October Victorian ATASDA Textile Art Meeting

The October meeting of our new Victorian ATASDA group was attended by 25 ladies.  Artist and designer Neroli Henderson gave an informative talk on the inspirations and techniques behind her unique art quilts using a slide slow and many of her original works to demonstrate.

Discussion was held during the meeting reguarding what techniques members would like to see featured in workshops during 2011.  If you have any suggestions please add them to the comment section below.

We are also looking for books to add to our Victorian library for members to borrow. If anyone has any textile based books or magazines they would like to donate to our proposed library please let us know or bring them along to the next group get together in January. Any fibre or textile related books or magazines will be welcomed!

Linda Steele made this after a discussion on Monet with Waverley Art Quilt group. Hand dyed, variegated background fabric with strips of green layered to indicate waves and leaves overlaid with tulle and machine stitched.
