We were not able to book the room at the Box Hill Arts Centre for the November meeting.
We have decided that November should be a committee and planning meeting which will be held at 2Doors Down 159 Fitzroy St St. Kilda at 1.00 pm. Come along with ideas backed up by photos/pamphlets/webpages etc for artists who you would like to learn from. Any member who would like to join the committee from 2.30 o'clock onwards for a Christmas drink is welcome.

October Victorian ATASDA Textile Art Meeting
The October meeting of our new Victorian ATASDA group was attended by 25 ladies. Artist and designer Neroli Henderson gave an informative talk on the inspirations and techniques behind her unique art quilts using a slide slow and many of her original works to demonstrate.

Discussion was held during the meeting reguarding what techniques members would like to see featured in workshops during 2011. If you have any suggestions please add them to the comment section below.
We are also looking for books to add to our Victorian library for members to borrow. If anyone has any textile based books or magazines they would like to donate to our proposed library please let us know or bring them along to the next group get together in January. Any fibre or textile related books or magazines will be welcomed!

October Meeting
Our next Victorian ATASDA meeting will be on Saturday 23rd October 10.00am – 2.00pm at the Box Hill Community Arts Centre 470 Station Street, Box Hill VIC 3128. (Melways Ref Page 47 D10 between Canterbury and Whitehorse Rds) limited parking on left hand corner of street.

Please bring a mug and lunch as there are no shops near by.
CHALLENGE
The first Victorian challenge will be to create your own name badge.
Criteria your name must be clearly readable and ATASDA must feature clearly somewhere in the creation.
