CHRISTMAS MEETING

The meeting scheduled on November 5th has been cancelled.

Our Christmas meeting will be held on December 10th as the hall was booked for the 1st Saturday.
We have a challenge for the December meeting for attendees to make a "Christmas item"  there will be a prize given out.  Don't forget items for our trade table.
Please bring a plate of food to share for lunch.
Raffle prize is a hair and beauty pamper at Aveda in Richmond worth nearly $400.  Tickets are $2 each of 5 for $8.

'Hot Stuff #1' Workshop Sep 3 2011 with Neroli Henderson. Learn how to use heat guns, synthetic fabrics, Tyvek, Angelina fibre and Textiva (fantasy film).

Announcing ATASDA Vic's first ever own workshop! Learn heat materials and techniques to add zing to you next textile art or multimedia project. We will be painting and distorting Tyvek plastic and then layering synthetic fabrics with Textiva (fantasy) film and Angelina fibres, stitching a resist and using heat guns for impressive (and easy!!) results.

You will leave with your own heat distressed mini quilt and a knowledge of how to incorporate each of those materials and techniques into your own work.

MEETING PLACE

CHANGE OF VENUE

The next meeting of ATASDA Vic Group will be held

at the Hartwell Church Of Christ Hall

This venue is on the ground floor and easily accessible. 
10.30am - 3.30pm
Entry Fee $5.00
We are having a Home Warming lunch.  Please bring a plate of food to share.  Any items for the trade table to boast our finances are welcome.
Show and Tell of Hand Made Name badge with ATASDA and Your Name or a mug bag.

4th June we will have the Maharajah's Garden travelling suitcase exhibition on display.  Tell your friends, family neighbours etc to come and see this wonderful exhibition.

March Meeting

An interesting workshop was held by Gayle De'Angelis from Warburton.   Gayle has a business called Retied Attire were she makes wearable art out of ties and scarves.   This was a hands on workshop where we all had such fun.  Greg Carolyn's husband was on hand to video all the goings on.  This video will be available for loan from our library.

Report from February meeting

Finally I am able to do this report only a few days until our next meeting which is on this Sunday March 26th the meeting will be held at the Oakleigh Hall Drummond St Oakleigh.  Committee at 10 a.m general members at 11a.m until 3.30p.m.


The guest speaker for March was Felicity Hopkins with a wonderful display of her work and her story through Art quilts.

February Meeting

The meeting for February will be held on  Sunday February 27th at 11.00am to 3.00pm at the Oakleigh Community Hall, Drummond St Oakleigh.
It is the hall adjacent to the Library.  (When standing facing the library it is the hall on the left hand side.)
Plenty of parking, short distance from Oakleigh Station, Monash Freeway of Warrigal Road.

This may change as we are trying to find a venue free on the 4th Saturday of the month, SO WATCH this SPACE.  As of today Feb 12th we have had no luck in acquiring a venue for the 4th Saturday.
I have sent invitations to those who have attended the meetings so far and left their email addresses to join our Yahoo Group, if you receive one of these invites from fairiesrme that is me Fran Cox.

January Meeting
